B. Lanzilotta will participate in the Seminar “The Costs of Crime and Violence in Latin America and the Caribbean” on January 25, presenting the research work “Los Costos del Crimen y la Violencia en Uruguay”. This two-day seminar (January 24 and 25) will take place at IDB headquarters in Washington DC, where lead researchers from the region and internationally recognized experts Stephen Raphael (UC Berkeley), Mark Cohen (Vanderbilt University), Michael Jacobson (Vera Institute) and Hugh Waters (Johns Hopkins University) will present new estimates of the cost of violence and evidence-based evaluation of the impact of different citizen security policies.
